Ponnadai is a shawl adorned around the shoulders of a dignitary who is being honored. This is a tradition mostly in southern part of India.

This piece of beautiful cloth is nothing but a shawl known as Ponnadai in Tamil and Ponnada in Malayalam. The literal meaning would be "Precious Golden Cloth". We have diferent colors in affordable price range.

    A beautiful shawl! It is thinner than I had expected but this was my first time buying it so I am not the best judge of that.
